SYFY Launches Official Trailer for Resident Alien Series Starring Alan Tudyk

SYFY has released the official trailer for their unique series, Resident Alien starring Alan Tudyk. The series is adapted based on the comic Dark Horse created by Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse.

The Resident Alien trailer offers a lot of interesting things about the story, which is planned to be presented in 10 episodes in the first season.

The audience is introduced to Harry both as a human doctor and as an alien. Besides, the supporting characters were introduced through this trailer, such as Sheriff Mike Thompson (Corey Reynolds).

This promo not only showcases Harry’s new life on Earth but also teases a murder mystery that will allow Harry to put all the knowledge he has gained while watching Law & Order well.

Resident Alien follows the story of Tudyk’s character, Harry, who is described as “an alien stranded on earth and disguised as a small-town human doctor.

Arriving with a secret mission to kill all humans, Harry begins to live a simple life … but things get a little difficult when he is bound to solve a local murder and realizes he needs to assimilate into his new world.

As he does so, he begins to grapple with the moral dilemma of his mission and asks life’s big questions such as: “Is man worthy of being saved?”

Previously, SYFY had released the first seven-minute clip of Resident Alien. This clip was first shown on the New York Comic Con 2020 Metaverse panel.

In the seven-minute video, comic fans and potential viewers are introduced to an alien named Harry Vanderspeigle (Tudyk), who maintains a human form while also serving as a doctor in a small Colorado community.

Resident Alien was adapted for TV by executive producer and showrunner Chris Sheridan and stars Tudyk, Sara Tomko (Once Upon A Time), Corey Reynolds (The Closer), Alice Wetterlund (Silicon Valley), and Levi Fiehler (Mars).

The series, which also stars Mandell Maughan, Alex Barima, Liz Bowen, and Judah Prehn, will premiere in January 2021.
