PlayStation 5 (PS5) owners will get a Virtual Reality headset specially designed for this next-gen gaming console. The launch plan this week was officially announced by Sony.
Sony’s Senior Vice President, Platform Planning & Management Hideaki Nishino said that the headset, which is the successor to PS VR on PS4, will bring increased resolution, tracking, and input which is claimed to be better than its predecessor.
“Players will feel a more real and immersed sensation in the game world when they use this new headset,” Hideaki said.
Unfortunately, there isn’t much information about potential VR headsets under development. Hideaki confirmed that this device would not be released in 2021.

One thing is for sure, Hideaki said this device will come with a special controller that will adopt a number of features that are owned by DualSense, a special controller for the PS5.
The VR controller is also likely to be equipped with adaptive trigger capabilities and DualSense-style haptic feedback.
The previous Virtual Reality headset from Sony was PlayStation VR which was launched in 2016. This device is priced at 400 US dollars (around Rp. 5.6 million) and can be used with PS4 to play several popular game titles such as Astro Bot: Rescue Mission, Tetris Effect, Blood & Truth, Moss, Beat Saber, and Resident Evil. 7 Biohazard.
